Palanga is a resort in the west of the republic of Lithuania on the Baltic Sea Coast with facilities for climatobalneology and mud therapy.
Palanga is one of the most popular holiday resorts by the Baltic Sea, famous not only for its white sandy beach, but also for its health school, its pier, song festivals, symphony concerts and beauty concests. In Palanga there are splendid guest houses, exhibition rooms and coffee-shops. June through September are the most beautiful months in Palanga. Concerts, meetings with celebrated painters and researchers of past culture take place at various venues: at the foot of Birute's Hill, in the park, on the rose covered terrace of the Tiskevicius Manor House or the fireside in its drawing room. Palanga has all prerequisites for an ideal summer resort. The long smooth sand beach descends into the water very gradually (one must wade 20 to 30 m to have the water reach above one's knees) with a firm and stonefree bottom. It makes an excellent and safe bathing place for children as well as adults. Order form
