| Description | Sigulda is located 50 km from Riga next to the river Gauja. Sigulda is the centre of the national park and is one of the most beautiful cities in Latvia. In Sigulda we find the Turaida castle and a lot of very old houses. The National Park Gauja has very clean and beautiful nature, there we can find forests, mountains and very unique plant species. To get the best view of the park, one should take a little trip with a cable railway that traverses over two mountains in Gauja.
